Course Overview
This is an advanced course that deals with the detailed design of frequency sources in wireless communication systems.
The course reviews the range of advanced technologies while presenting a comprehensive and in-depth presentation of the design and implementation considerations, both in the systemic aspect and in the individual design aspect of the circuits.
Designing synthesizers in the modern age requires a multidisciplinary understanding of RF issues, Control circles, Digital communication and Sampling theory
The course is intended to provide a very in-depth and very comprehensive understanding of frequency source technologies in wireless communication systems, and on the interaction between transmitter / receiver and synthesizer.
The course include solving exercises in a variety of topics. The course will acquire in-depth and practical planning ability both in the systemic aspect and in the individual planning aspect.
Moshe Ben Ayun Ph.D.
Dr. Moshe Ben Ayun is an expert in Wireless, Radio Engineering, Communication, and an experienced lecturer. His career spans over 36 years in the wireless communications space in various roles.
31 years Motorola experience starting from R&D engineer, leading R&D teams and managing the RF CTO office. He also served as VP headed the R&D Department at Geotech. He joined Ariel University in 2013 where he teaches Communications, RF, Wireless Radio, Microwave systems and RF IC design.
From 2014 he also serves as a referent in the Israel Innovation Authority.
He Hold 70 granted patents and published more than 20 papers.
He holds a B.Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Ben Gurion University, a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Tel-Aviv University and PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Ariel University.
